Day 13 – EST

Posted: 29 November 2007 in joy, queerlife, triptastic

We’re just three hours from home but the leg was too long to make in one day.  So we’re in another hotel watching each other slowly go insane from stopping the dog in undertaking his latest bad adventure.

Folks told us before we left that a road trip – particularly one this long – would make or break our relationship.  Since we’re married, we hoped it would be the former.  In fact, we had a delightful time.  I’d love to spend the next two weeks with her in a car.  Or in our house.  In our bed.  You get the idea.  In short, she’s an amazing, wonderful individual and while this blog is not, nor will it ever be, a gushing devotional, I wanted to share with you how lucky I am.

Bonus points for listening.

  1. Linsey says:

Janie and I took a road trip in September. Two weeks. It was FANTASTIC. We, too, had people saying that it would make or break us. I was pretty sure we’d do fine…because we already spend an obscene amount of time together. We only had one or two small moments which were not unlike the moments we have on a regular-ass day. We came back wanting to do it all over again.

  2. backlist says:

Sappy, I admit. But it’s nice to feel so happy and comfortable.
